Business Operations Specialist

Data+Math is looking for a driven, expertly organized, and supremely thorough Business Operations Specialist. The Business Operations Specialist is responsible for execution excellence across our customers and partner network covering a full portfolio of project complexity and deliverable responsibilities. This person will be a critical member for the Data + Math day-to-day operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your methodical & driven personality to deliver on-schedule projects and keep stakeholders informed

  • Use your skilled data sleuthing capabilities to mine for insights across a wide array of technology platforms

  • Experiment and prototype with new customer-facing reports, analyses, and applications to deliver best-in-class results

  • Develop strong relationships with Data + Math teammates, customers & partner contacts in order to achieve a reputation of consistent & timely delivery of project milestones

  • Design new & improve upon operational business flows & processes

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Required: 1+ years of focused experience with database technologies (relational databases, data lakes, data warehouses, etc); procedural and/or functional programming (python experience strongly preferred); data analysis and presentation

  • 2+ years of technical or engineering experience strongly preferred

  • Proven coordination of project objectives across competing priorities and an array of internal and external stakeholders

  • Hands-on analytics (media, customer, digital, big data) experience a significant plus

  • Experience in the TV and/or digital advertising industry strongly preferred

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to examine, synthesize, and present data to various stakeholders (customers and partners)

  • Experience with project management industry standard frameworks (Six Sigma, Kaban, etc) a plus

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, organize, and operate in a fast moving, entrepreneurial start-up environment

  • A strategic thinker and problem solver who uses data, analytical skills and story-telling to support reasoning

  • Demonstrated ability to work across at all levels of a customer or partner organization

  • Able to work in ambiguous situations and be able to take charge and operate with minimal intervention from senior management

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably, with a concentration in a STEM field
